Day 1: NAIROBI / SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

Nairobi / Samburu Game Reserve Depart Nairobi in the morning passing through the rich agricultural farmland on the slopes of Mt. Kenya to the mainly dry scrubland and open Savannah plains of Samburu Game Reserve. Here the Ewaso Nyiro River supports a wide variety of game among them elephants, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, lion, grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, long necked gerenuk and the Oryx. Set up tents with dinner and overnight at the campsite. [Picnic lunch en route].

Day 2 & 3: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

Samburu Game Reserve Morning and afternoon game drives with all meals at the campsite.

Day 4: LAKE BARINGO

Samburu Game Reserve / Lake Baringo Depart Samburu after an early breakfast and drive through the scenic areas to the west across the Lerochi Plateau, picnic lunch en route later descend to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, arriving Lake . Baringo in the afternoon. This is a fresh water lake, which supports a great variety of birds as well as hippos and crocodiles. Indeed the lake is reputed to be the bird-watching center of Kenya . Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 5: lake nakuru national park

Lake Baringo / Lake Nakuru National Park Early morning we head south via Lake . Begonia, which is a shallow soda Lake with a beautiful scenery and also home to a sizable number of flamingos and other species of birds. The highlight however is the boiling hot springs and geyser, which also contributes to the beauty of the lake. After lunch we proceed to Lake . Nakuru in the South – another shallow soda lake that is described as an ornithologist paradise and one of the world’s most magnificent sights. Here one has an opportunity to see up to millions of flamingos besides tens of thousands of others birds. Lake Nakuru is a rhino sanctuary and also harbors lions, warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, hippo and many other animals. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse or hostel located inside the park

Day 6: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE.                                      

Lake Nakuru National Park / Masai Mara Game Reserve We head further south to Narok arriving at the basic campsite located near Sekenani gate, which is at the edge of the park. Here we have walk-in tents with beds & mattresses. Showers are available at the camp and meals are served in the dinning mess. Dinner and overnight at Sekenani Gate Camp / Kimama Tented Camp.

Day 7 & 8: MASAI MAR GAME RESERVE.

Masai Mara Game Reserve From the base camp we explore the Mara region which is packed with the elephants, zebras, rhinos and all kinds of game throughout the year with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. All meals at the Sekenani Gate Camp or Kimama Tented camp.

Day 9: DEPART

Masai Mara Game Reserve / Nairobi Early morning game drive, return for breakfast and there after proceed to Nairobi via Nark where Misaim souvenirs can be bought, picnic lunch en route.


CAMPSITES: Samburu – Public utility, drop latrines, cold showers. Comfortable for 1 night or 2 nights. Lake Nakuru – Cold showers, flash toilets available Masai Mara - Hot /cold showers & flash toilets.
